Cedar and cypress wood are much softer than teak. Furniture made from these woods is lightweight and splinters easily. Cedar and cypress are best used for siding, not outdoor furniture. Oak, maple, or pine outdoor furniture has a tendency to rot, split, crack, and turn an uneven color during its first year of use. Fine teak hardwood, on the other hand, makes stable, solid furniture that weathers to a soft silvery grey and lasts for a lifetime of use and enjoyment.

We Sell premium quality Teak furniture imported directly from Bangkok, Thailand, there is no middle man. Also, manufacturing the furniture in Thailand allows us to save on costly overhead needed to produce on a local level. Finally, our Flat Packs deliver great savings to customers who are comfortable doing some basic assembly themselves.

Your Southern Teak furniture will last for generations. But there are sometimes harmful pollutants in the air, or natural causes, such as pollen and sap, that will cause greenish stains that are easily removed. We have had the best results from OlympicŪ Deck Wash. This easy-to-use product is applied with a pump garden sprayer. Just let the cleaner sit on the furniture for five minutes and then rinse it off with your garden hose. An annual cleaning with this product will keep your furniture looking its best for years to come. For especially difficult stains you can add common household bleach to the cleaner. We recommend a 50/50 mix of bleach and OlympicŪ Deck Wash for tough stains.
Instead of painting your furniture? a process that requires frequent repainting over the years to maintain a nice finish; we advise using an outdoor stain to color your Southern Teak furniture. Exterior house stains are available in many colors, they penetrate the wood and therefore don't chip, and they allow the wood's natural grain to show through. Using a wood primer will keep the wood color from bleeding through your stain for excellent results.
